The first day of the expedition was getting to Faversham, with Mr Toomey driving us to Faversham, where he dropped us off and he drove to the campsite.

On the first day, after Mr Toomey dropped us off in Faversham, we made our way to see the first gunpowder mill in England.  This gunpowder mill was next to a stream, where the stream could be used to import and export charcoal, one of the three major ingredients for gunpowder. The stream fed into a tidal Creek where sulphur, another key ingredient, could be imported.
